Essay contest update

So here's the deal: I've been trying to pimp the living hell out of the Baby F(Ph)at essay contest but so far we are kind of at a stand still. Granted, I in my infinite wisdom decided to start the damned contest right at the start of the NaNo month, which in retrospect, was not the smartest of moves. So moving on...

I'm sitting here with two entries to the December contest and thankful and pleased and impressed and honored that these women took the time to share their thoughts for a chance at fame on my blog (cuz that's gonna go far, I tell ya), but after discussing things with my essay contest partner have decided to hold the current entries for January in order to sweeten the pot, so to speak.

The idea, people, is not only to open up and share and be sarcastic and funny and honest and wonderfully sincere, but to also get the momentum going for an anthology. So why not scratch my back (by entering the contest) and I'll possibly scratch yours (by deeming your essay kick ass enough to be selected for said anthology.) Really, it's a win/win for all of us.

I also have a sponsor for the contest, but until I get a few more details worked out I'm not spilling the beans. So hold on to your big girl panties and be patient.

Until then, tell your friends, your co-workers, your sister, your mother and your flipping grandmother to go forth and create in the name of Pauline.

And I promise to still love  and respect you in the morning.
