I have some pretty amazing friends. It comes with the territory, I think. As a writer and artist, I am surrounded, albeit virtually, by creative spirits with a whole lot of something always going on inside their heads.
Sue was sweet enough to send me a copy of her coloring book to try out and I'm in love. Wanderlust is full of zentangle inspired doodles with a nice mix of white space and intricate designs and beautiful imagery in each and every one. My only complaint is that the paper isn;t thick enough to keep markers and watercolors from bleeding through. My recommendation is to stick with colored pencils or fancy crayons while getting your coloring zen on in Wanderlust.
While coloring books for adults is the new craze, don't underestimate the little ones who like to do what their adults are doing. Eliana is right next to me during most of my art projects and absolutely loves to test out my own drawings I am working on for my first coloring book, and she and her friends were all I LOVE THAT HORSE ONE CAN I HELP YOU COLOR IT and um...no. I'm good with buying one for my kid. But this copy is mine.
