People often ask me how I break beyond my personal filter to write about the thing that I do. Most of the time, I tell them that I just write. Thinking complicates things a bit too much.
But then sometimes, the thinking is all that can be done. For eight years now, I've been side-stepping the issue of postpartum depression because I never received an official diagnosis (even though I tried to reach out for help.) Latina moms are at 37 percent of suffering from PPD, my friends. I am one of them. Thanks to PostPartum Progress, I had a place to share my experience.
